ORIGIN AND HISTORY
A GREAT HISTORY OF THE MODEL SCHOOL, KAPODRA:
A man’s inner desire and worries brings out the best result. Our Model School at Kapodra is one of the live example as a real Model established in a small village, Kapodra, Ta: Ankleshwar Bharuch. The LateJanab Baji Patel, Janab A. G. Pandor, Late Hazrat Maulana Abdullah Saheb (RA.), Late Janab Ahmedbhai Lulat, Late Yusufbhai Pandor(Modi) and many such more alike important personalities who were guiding force to laid foundation of an educational institution for the overall development of the society. They took up the challenge to eradicate illiteracy from the village and to inculcate Islamic sprit and ethos with modern education, therefore established a grand an Islamic school building not for village community but for Muslim migrants across India residing near GIDC Ankleshwar, nearby villages of Muslims, vulnerable section of the society to take education in The Model School.
The Government’s Primary Education was deteriorated too much, it is therefore, the well-wisher of our Muslim Society were worried as to educational level should be up. It is therefore, In the year 1992-93 a big social change noticed and the members of Kapodra welfare committee decided to run their own private Primary school in the village itself.
In the year 1997, The welfare committee had applied to take the Government’s permission to start standard 1, but with some or the other reason, the permission was denied.
In the beginning of the 1998, with the best efforts of late Janab Ahmedbhai Lulat, the committee finally got the Government’s permission to run their own private school. The School started its first Standard in the Madresa building. It was started the kindergarten section since it does not require permission.
There were two lady teachers named Mistry Sabiha and Patel Zabunnisha were appointed for the KG section and two male teachers Patel Hanif I. (The Current Principal of Primary school). and Javid Karodia were appointed for std-1. In this way, the school started its journey with four teachers.
Slowly and gradually students and classes were increased and by the year 2002, the school reached till std-7. Soon the school had to face the space problem. To overcome all these issues and for the betterment of this school, Janab late Abdullah Saheb (RA.), Janab late Ahmedbhai Lulat and Janab Yusufbhai Pandor(Modi) visited Zambia and South Africa to collect fund for construction of school building. This proposal was kept in front of kindhearted late Janab Baji Patel and Janab A.G. Pandor. These big personalities accepted these challenges with opened hearted and called a meeting and collected a sufficient fund for the model school.
After their visit of Zambia, Janab Ahmedbhai Lulat and Yusufbhai Pandor visited England. Late Hazrat Maulana Abdullah Sahab(RA),late Baji Patel sb (RA) and A.G. Pandor made journey to England. They proposed the program of school before the family of Kapodra living in England and asked them to help in this movement, rest is history.
In the year 2000, a very impressive structure was erected along with the facility of pure drinking water, playground and beautiful gardens were constructed under the guidance of Janab Maulana Abdullah Saheb (RA.), Janab Ahmedbhai Lulat, Janab Yusufbhai Pandor(Modi), Janab Baji Patel and Janab A.G. Pandor. Duaas and blessings of Hazrat Maulana AsadMadni Saheb(RA.) and Maulana Abdullah Saheb(RA.) the foundation stone of the school was laid at the south direction of the village land.
Within short span of time a beautiful campus was built up with a large playground, gardens, girls, boy’s rooms lavatories, big and airy classrooms, a small library, laboratories came into being.
In the year 2002 in the month of June, the new building was inaugurated. To cope with modern challenges in the internet world, we started the computer classes. A full equipment loaded Computer lab was built for the Secondary students. In the year 2007 the first SSC (secondary school certificate) batch was 100% successful, clear the exam and shone in the sky with many scored distinction marks.
With grace of Allah and immense contribution made by our elders and hard work of the teachers and students, the school is progressing day and night. As the result, the strength of school has increased and the management had to face the problem of class-rooms. But this problem was also overcoming, Janab Ismail Isapji Patel, Gulam Mohammed Patel, Ahmed Isapji Patel, JanabYusufbhaiPathan and their brother and Janab Ayyub Ismail Patel, Mohammed Hanif Gulam Patel who all at the Zambia donated one Acre land and additional classes to be constructed. We are also very thankful to Shabbirbhai Tietie for his valuable contribution to our students.
Along with educational skills, the board of the trust cared for the physical growth of the students. With this pure intention and by the grace of Allah, Janab Anwar Ahmed Munsaf and his brothers, at present in London donated a piece of land at the west zone along with the school building. At present this land is used as playground and for the parking.
Day by day, our expectation was increasing; we would plan for the vocational courses as like I.T.I or lodging and boarding for the students.

With grace of Allah and extra ordinary planning and a lot of hard work and sacrifices were made, with the talented and hardworking teachers under esteemed guidance of Our Late president late Ahmedbhai Lulat
[Mamlatdar] could make this institute on the top comparing to other schools.
The journey of The Model School is not yet stopped; we are achieving our goal, the alumni of this institute are doing well in their respective field.
It was a dream of Maulana Abdullah, Baji Patel, Ahmedbhai Lulat [Mamlatdar] and other elders that the brighter students must get their education in science stream in Model school. It was necessary to make a large building in which the facility of Lab is available for chemistry, physics, biology and computer. The construction of this building started but before the work completed Janab Baji Patel passed away (Inna lillahi wainnailahi rajioon). It was his will to complete the construction of the building and to start the classes of science stream. Alhamdulillah, with effort of Hazrat Maulana Abdullah sahib the remaining part secondary and higher secondary school building was completed.
It was a big step to start science stream at Model school campus. This is a solo Muslim minority school in Ankleshwar taluka, where science stream is available for our community. We are all very much thankful to our elders who erected and established such marvelous institute where Islamic culture is prevailing otherwise the outside school environment is very much affected and influenced by western culture. There were four batches of higher secondary students passed out (10+2).

They are doing different courses for further study and employment. This school is catering approximately 950 students including KG, Primary and secondary and higher secondary part additionally an English Medium School has already began at LKG level.
We are working on the principle of distribution of function and distribution of Power. In order to facilitate proper administration of the school,The management has appointed one principal at Primary level and one at secondary and higher secondary level and one administrator to run the institute smoothly. Mr Hanif I. Patel at Primary (std1 to 8) and at secondary level (9th to 12thstd) Mr Iqbal H. Patel serving as a Principal respectively.
One more step was taken by current management team and Madam Rabiya foygi with their family members to introduce an English Medium school in the same premise looking future goals of students. We have to come up with modern challenges ahead. Most of our contemporary system is based on English language. It is therefore to reduce the communication gap between foreign dwellers of Kapodra and native of this village community, English language may work as a “lingua franca” between the communities. Definitely our English medium passed out students may compete in international arena which was not possible in our oriental languages like Gujarati and Hindi.
In order to facilitate proper teaching and learning environment 45 teaching and non-teaching staff are working whose salary, bonus, light and electric bill and other maintenances bear by institute itself. The estimated cost is approximately ` 60, 00,000/-(Sixty Lac) per year. We can’t run the school on the basis of fee because it is very low. This can only be possible from your kind hearted financial support to run the school smoothly.
